Are your facilities fully licensed?
At New Vista Behavioral Health, we are not only state licensed but also are accredited by the Joint Commission, the most prestigious honor in our industry. Roughly only 19 percent of all treatment centers have committed to the extensive work required to obtain this accreditation.
How do I know what type of help is needed to help me or someone I love?
Unfortunately, there are times when someone struggling with addiction is also dealing with several different co-occurring disorders, making them unsure of where to turn or ask for help. Here at New Vista Behavioral Health, our treatment is individualized and designed to meet you where you are at. Prior to admission into one of our centers, we have one of our licensed clinicians do a full assessment to create a plan that addresses your precise needs. We offer several different options from primary mental health, primary substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment plans to ensure all of our clients get the treatment necessary to start them on the path to healthy recovery.
When I stop taking my medication, I get sick and have severe withdrawal symptoms. Can you help?
Yes. Our programs all begin with a medically-assisted, or sub-acute detox as needed. You will be assigned your own physician to evaluate which medications or substances you are taking, as well as their amount and duration. This allows us to prescribe you short-term medications to minimize the effects and keep you as comfortable as possible as your body withdraws from the substance.
I get nervous in large settings. How many people are in your program at one time?
All of our programs are set up to be small and intimate. Each location has a maximum of 6 people per house. This allows us to keep our individualized therapeutic focus on each client and for clients to feel comfortable working through the issues that led to their addictions.
What is residential treatment?
Residential treatment takes place in a house, rather than in a hospital. We have found that this environment makes the client feel more comfortable and relaxed, which leads to greater openness during the treatment process. This allows our clients to focus on their treatment and getting the help they desperately want and need to overcome their addiction and move to a place of healthy recovery and long-term sobriety.
